Abstract
The drama of Antigone, which has marked the 20th Century - just think of its reinterpretations by Bertolt Brecht and Jan Anouilh during and after the Second World War - sadly continues to speak to the present. The rewriting by Valeriy Simonchuck, a young Ukrainian author/theater actor, is the result of observation and firsthand testimony to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which as of February 2022 shows no sign of stopping. Antigone: Post-Mortem is a monologue with elements of verbatim theater that gives voice to survivors and emphasizes the ethical debate due to the role of media in conflict contexts.
