Ecuba, la cagna nera: the sublime frost of a contemporary Euripides

Abstract

Ecuba, la cagna nera (2022, 2023) is the play, based on Euripides’ The Trojan Women, directed by Dario Marconcini and performed by Giovanna Daddi. The article proposes a critical reading of the performance, in particular analysing the interpretation of the leading actress and the directorial choice of an essential scene, which can be said to be an empty scene.
